Needs-based scholarships are aimed at BIWoC, people with a disability, people receiving low-income benefits, and university or TAFE students. Merit-based scholarships take into account a startup’s traction, the founder’s experience, and impact on the community.

NB: your startup not making money isn’t a valid reason to apply for a scholarship. Most startups don’t make money so the situation isn’t unique.
